Presbyterian Church opens cold weather shelter

The Beaufort Sea Island Presbyterian Church’s emergency cold weather shelter will be open from 6 p.m. each night through Thursday evening in the face of expected cold weather.

Those without homes or heat are welcome to stay and hot meals and places to sleep will be provided, according to the Beaufort Police Department.
