Driver seriously injured in 2-vehicle Trask Parkway crash

A teenage driver was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on Trask Parkway early Wednesday morning.
Burton firefighters arrived around 5 a.m. to find a Jeep Cherokee that had rolled multiple times and was then struck by a Chevy Impala in the northbound lane, according to the Burton Fire District news release.
The teenage driver of the Jeep suffered potentially life-threatening injuries, the release said.
The driver of the Chevy suffered non-life-threatening injuries and both drivers were taken to Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
Beaufort County EMS, the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol also responded to the crash, and the northbound lane of the parkway was closed for around an hour, the release said.
