Christmas Day TV special will feature performances by seven district schools

Musical performances by students from seven Beaufort County public schools will be featured in a one-hour Christmas Day television special produced by WSAV-TV.

"Music in Our Schools" is scheduled to be broadcast three times on Christmas Day -- at 6 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. -- and will include performances by student choirs, orchestras and other ensembles. The show also will be posted to WSAV.com for free on-demand viewing after Christmas.

Featured will be musical numbers by students from Coosa Elementary, Lady's Island Elementary, Mossy Oaks Elementary, Port Royal Elementary, River Ridge Academy, Whale Branch Middle School and Battery Creek High School.
