Tourism organization to hold Toys for Tots event

The Lowcountry and Resort Islands Tourism Commission and J&C Wordsmiths will hold the 2nd annual "Fill Santa's Sack" event to benefit the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots toy drive.

The event is from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday Dec. 19, at Frampton Plantation Visitors Center in Point South, 1 Low Country Lane, Yemassee.

The event will include a visit with Santa Claus, the Charles Town Few Pirates, Cappy the Clown, children's activities and crafts, holiday shopping and entertainment.

Visits with Santa are from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. with a $10 donation or an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.

Admission and parking is free.
