Beaufort-based Sea Island Carriage Company is operating holiday carriage rides through the Old Village of Port Royal every weekend in December.

On the tour, customers can see holiday lights, feed the horses and take pictures.

A special staging area has been set up behind The Shed along 8th Street Extension, where attendees can meet and feed the horses. Hot chocolate and holiday treats will be served.

Blankets will be provided or customers can bring their own during the ride through the Old Village of Port Royal.

Rides will run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday and last approximately 30 minutes. Departure times are at 5:45, 6:30, 7:15, 8:00, 8:45 and 9 p.m. nightly. Tickets are $12, with children younger than 3 free.

All proceeds benefit Friends of Caroline Hospice.
