Audit finds no deficiences in Beaufort County School District finances

For the 16th consecutive year, an outside financial review has found no weaknesses or deficiencies in the Beaufort County School District internal financial controls.

The 2014-2015 audit, by Charleston-based Elliott Davis Decosimo, also found no findings of noncompliance with state or federal laws, the firm told the school board Tuesday.

State law requires all school districts to have their finances reviewed and analyzed each year by outside auditors.

In late September and early October, Elliott Davis Decosimo's four-person team did a two-week onsite review of the school district's FY 2014-15 finances.
