Update: St. Helena shooting suspect arrested

The suspect in a St. Helena Island incident in which a family of three was shot at Wednesday morning has been apprehended and awaits charges, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

Marquise Johnson, 20, allegedly shot at a vehicle on Seaside Road with a man, woman and infant inside and fled around 11:20 a.m., according to a Sheriff's Office news release.

He was later spotted in a wooded area off the same road and detained, the release said.
