Update: Sheriff's Office investigates shooting incident in Northern Beaufort County
The victim of a drive-by shooting Monday night outside of Seabrook was a teenager, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.
The male victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his lower body on Stuart Point Road around 7:30 p.m., Capt. Bob Bromage said, and was taken to Beaufort Memorial Hospital for treatment.
His injuries are non-life-threatening, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.
The victim told investigators he was shot as he stood by the road by an occupant of a tan "older and small" vehicle that drove by with at least two African American males inside, Bromage said.
A motive for the shooting has yet to be established as the investigation continues, Bromage said.
No suspects have been identified.
