Savannah dog show set for next weekend

Savannah's annual dog show will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday through Monday at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center, 1 International Drive, Hutchinson Island.

Hosted by the Savannah and Beaufort Kennel Clubs, the American Kennel Club event will feature a dog breed show, obedience and rally trials, a puppy class show, vendors and a silent auction.

Awards for the best in each group and a "Best in Show" will be presented at the end of each day.

Admission is $3, or it's $2 for those who bring a can of dog food to benefit the Humane Society of Greater Savannah.

Dogs not participating in the show will not be permitted at the event.
