Bernie Sanders to visit the Penn Center Sunday

Democratic presidential hopeful and U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders will host a local town hall meeting at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Darrah Hall at the historic Penn Center on St. Helena Island.

The event is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 2 p.m.

Sanders will be the first Democratic candidate to visit Beaufort County after a dozen Republican candidates have made local stops since this summer.
