Beaufort County EMS Professional of the Year announced

Beaufort County Ems paramedic Lindsay Tuten received the Asa C. Godowns EMS Professional of the Year award Saturday for her contributions to county residents.

Tuten has been with Beaufort County EMS for six years and is "extremely passionate about her job and takes great pride in her chosen profession," according to the County Council of Beaufort County Emergency Medical Services news release.

She has helped educate new parents in proper car seat installations, maintained the Beaufort County EMS Facebook page and helped with the employee liaison committee to better communication among EMS personnel.
