St. Helena Fire Station renovation nearing completion

The Lady's Island-St. Helena Fire District is nearing completion of the renovation to St. Helena Station 22 at Sea Island Parkway and Fripp Point Road.

The upgrade to the station is expected to be done Dec. 1, according to a district news release.

The renovation includes an elevated floor, hydraulic flood gates throughout the facility, a new fire alarm and sprinkler system and new plumbing.

The sleeping area will now have individual sleeping quarters, an exercise room and new kitchen and bathroom facilities, the release said.
