The Beaufort County Office of Veterans Affairs will host its annual parade starting at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 11. The parade will begin at Rogers and Boundary Streets and travel down Carteret Street and Bay Street before heading back toward Beaufort National Cemetery. The Beaufort National Cemetery will host a Veterans Day event at 11 a.m. Nov. 11. The keynote speaker is Gen. Dan McNeill, retired former commanding general of CG of 82nd Airborne Division and XVIII Airborne Corps at Fort Bragg, N.C. The ceremony will be held on the grounds of the new committal shelter located at the rear of the cemetery. Parking instructions will be provided upon arrival. The Technical College of the Lowcountry will hold a grand opening for its Veterans Resource Center from noon until 3 p.m. Nov. 11 at its campus on Ribaut Road in Beaufort. Light refreshments will be served and tours of TCL's aviation lab offered.

The parade begins on Bridge Street, moves to Calhoun treet and finishes at the Promenade in Old Town. The Mary Green Men's Chorale will hold a Veterans Day concert at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11. "Songs of the Sea" takes place at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 24 Pope Ave., Hilton Head. The public is invited to the Veterans Day ceremony at 10 a.m. Nov. 11 at the Veterans Memorial at Shelter Cove Community Park on Hilton Head Island. Presented by the Military Veterans Coalition of Hilton Head, this year's ceremony is hosted by Arthur Wiley Post No. 49 of the American Legion. Its theme is Our Community Honoring Our Veterans: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. The keynote speaker will be retired U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen.
