Fahey: Dollar General planned for Port Royal

A Dollar General is being constructed at the intersection of Richmond Avenue and Ribaut Road, according to the project's general contractor Marshall Hartmann.

The approximately 9,000-square-foot building is projected to open by March, Hartmann said.

The Dollar General in Port Royal will be the fifth one in northern Beaufort County. There are currently three in Beaufort and one on Lady's Island. There is also a Dollar General store in Bluffton and one on Hilton Head Island.
