Update: Grant-winning Beaufort County teachers, projects announced

Beaufort County School District teachers received more than $21,000 in grants from the Foundation for Education Excellence on Tuesday to pay or innovative classroom projects.

The foundation sent a "prize patrol" to 17 schools Tuesday to award a total of 34 grants, ranging from $162 for an individual teacher to $1,500 for a group.
