Riverview Charter School closed for shooter training

Riverview Charter School in Beaufort will be closed Wednesday for a multi-agency active-shooter readiness exercise.

The exercise will be used to prepare and evaluate the public-safety agencies in Beaufort County in a coordinated response, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

The exercise will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the school, with law enforcement and fire departments throughout the county present.

No children will participate in the exercise.
