A short-lived blaze at a Jasper County strip club is under investigation by the S.C. Law Enforcement Division, according to firefighters.
The fire broke out Karma Entertainment on Speedway Boulevard shortly after 7 a.m. Friday and was quickly extinguished by two men who were driving past, Levy Fire Chief Doug Graham said Sunday. The men were pressure cleaners and used their equipment to put out the flames, which scorched only the club's porch and awning, Graham said.
He said it was clear the fire had been intentionally set, though he declined to comment further on the ongoing investigation.
"We know that gas was poured, and the fire was ignited," Graham said.

He said that the club's owner has since spoken with the men who put out the fire, though she did not tell Graham their names.
"They really saved her day, I think," Graham said.
