The driver of a motorcycle was seriously injured after a two-vehicle accident in Burton on Friday night.
The crash involving a passenger vehicle and motorcycle happened just after 5 p.m. in the 2600 block of Boundary Street, Burton Fire District spokesman Dan Byrne said in a statement released Saturday.
Burton firefighters and Beaufort County EMS responding to the scene in an area between Broad River Road and Robert Smalls Parkway found the motorcycle driver with potentially life-threatening injuries, Byrne said.
Two lanes of Boundary Street were closed and traffic was slowed for more than 45 minutes while emergency crews worked the scene.
