A Lady's Island man was charged with domestic violence Tuesday after a woman said he threatened to throw a cinder block at her car.
Deputies responded to the Land's End Road home around 10 a.m. to find the woman crying near the roadway, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office report.
The incident began after the couple returned from WalMart and the man told her to pack her things, the report said. When the woman did, she said the man threw something at her and took her phone so she could not call police.
The woman told deputies the man then grabbed a cinder block and said he was going to throw it at her car, the report said.

The man then threw the woman's phone at her and she was able to call deputies, the report said.
When deputies arrived, they had to restrain the man, who swore at and pushed a deputy, the report said.
The man was taken to the Beaufort County Detention Center, the report said.
