Fahey: Portrait photography studio now open in downtown Beaufort

But she wanted to operate it in a place she could see herself living for a long time.

After moving to Beaufort in February, she felt the timing was right.

"I said to myself, 'If I want to open this studio, I might as well do it now,'" Rolain said.

Rolain opened Arastasia Photography on Sept. 18 at 910 Port Republic St., at the same address as Beaufort Pics, owned and operated by landscape photographer Phil Heim.

The Cleveland native has been doing photography for six years, she said.

"I wanted my own spot to do my own thing," Rolain said. "I can get creative in a studio."

Rolain said her specialty is in portrait photography, but added she is also a wedding and event photographer. In particular, she loves taking pictures of babies and children.

Rolain said she is available by appointment seven days a week.
