Ridgeland woman charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting husband
A 38-year-old Ridgeland woman was arrested and charged with attempted murder Saturday after she allegedly shot her husband, according to a news release from the Jasper County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's deputies and Ridgeland police officers responded to a Rice Shire Road home around 1:30 p.m. Saturday after a domestic dispute between Monique Beacher Riley and her husband Bryan Riley led to shots being fired, the release said.
Bryan Riley, 47, was shot once in the left thigh area after the dispute, the release said. No information on the nature of their dispute was included in the release.
Monique Beacher Riley was charged with attempted murder and taken to the Jasper County Detention Center.
