Science and Mathematics Governor's School now accepting applications for Class of 2018
The two-year high school specializes in the advanced study of science, technology, engineering, and math. Applicants should be state residents, current high school sophomores and have at least 10.5 high school credits prior to the end of the 2015-16 school year, including credits in these courses: geometry, Algebra I and II, English I and II, social studies and a lab science.
The highly selective school takes courses, grades, class rank, standardized test scores, teacher recommendations and extracurricular activities all into consideration, the release said.
