Special election scheduled today for Jasper school board
A special election today will decide the winners of all nine seats for the Jasper County Board of Education.
Seventeen people are vying to become school board members following a federal judge's decision in April to draw new voting districts.
Seven seats are contested. Two of the school board seats, Districts 5 and 6, are currently vacant.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
