Leadership Beaufort field trip to the Sands set Thursday

The Leadership Beaufort Alumni Association is sponsoring a field trip to the Sands in Port Royal on Thursday, according to a news release.

The trip will examine the "mysteries and marvels of the intertidal zone" on Port Royal Sound. Attendees will learn about the estuary, the unique tides, and oyster clusters in the water.

Attendees should wear closed-toe shoes.

Coupons from Port Royal restaurants will be available after the event, the release said.
