Burton man turns himself in after shooting incident
A Burton man wanted in connection with a shooting that left another injured turned himself in to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Monday morning.
Dion Hagood, 27, was identified by witnesses at the scene of the Spet. 5 shooting on Glaze Drive, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Warrants for attempted murder and possession of weapon in the commission of a violent crime were obtained for Hagood's arrest Sept. 8, the Sheriff's Office said.
Hagwood was taken to the Beaufort County Detention Center and awaits a bond hearing.
The victim, who was initially taken to Beaufort Memorial Hospital, was released and is recovering, the Sheriff's Office said Monday.
