Beaufort’s Memorial Day Parade is back. What to know about the route & more

Beaufort will honor the men and women who died serving in the U.S. military this weekend with its annual Memorial Day Parade.

This year’s parade, scheduled for 10 a.m. on Monday, May 25, will start at Boundary and Adventure streets, and continue down Boundary Street, turning right onto Carteret Street, left onto Bay Street and then right onto Bladen Street, ending at the Beaufort National Cemetery, according to a map from the Beaufort Police Department posted on Facebook.

The parade will feature community groups, civic organizations and community members. Lineup of groups, floats and participants starts at 9 a.m., according to the website for Explore Beaufort.

The parade is organized by Beaufort County Veterans Affairs, in partnership with the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, according to the website. Immediately after the parade, there will be a Memorial Day Ceremony at the Beaufort National Cemetery.
