Crash blocking Hwy 170 Friday morning rush-hour traffic in Port Royal

The morning commute on Highway 170 continues to vex local drivers. Yesterday, drivers sat in traffic as an accident was investigated and cleared and this morning another crash is is blocking the same road’s lanes in Port Royal during rush hour.

All east bound lands and one westbound lanes of 170 are blocked near Castlerock Road, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

Motorists can expect delays in the area and are advised to make alternate travel plans.

A crash Thursday morning blocked traffic on Highway 170 at its intersection with Highway 462 in Okatie. Friday morning’s crash is along the Robert Smalls Parkway Stretch of 170 in Port Royal.
