Driving between Beaufort and Bluffton today? Be aware of this road work

Road work could affect the commute for those driving between Beaufort and Bluffton on Friday.

Lanes will be closed on the Broad River Bridge on S.C. 170 on Friday for paving work, a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office notice said. Drivers should expect delays and be careful through the area.

Traffic cameras showed cars traveling in a single lane heading south across the bridge Friday morning at 11 a.m.
