A Burton man is missing, and his family is worried about his safety and health issues
A 21-year-old Burton man with health issues has been missing since Saturday, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
Christopher Jamal Burton was last seen by his family at a Boundary Street store in Beaufort around 10 a.m. Saturday when he told his dad he was going to go fishing at the Broad River Pier according to a Sheriff’s Office report. His family is concerned for Burton’s safety because of his undiagnosed health issues and reported him missing around 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to a Sheriff’s Office report.
Burton was reportedly seen by a family friend at the Waffle House at Exit 109 of I-95 in Port Wentworth, Ga., just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the release. Burton told the friend he was hungry but would not accept a ride back to Beaufort that night and instead ran toward a nearby truck stop. He was also reportedly spotted in the Burton area around 5:30 p.m. Monday.
