A Lady’s Island man reported his two pet goats stolen Tuesday morning when he also reported a trailer he had borrowed was missing, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report.

The man last saw the animals and trailer at his home off Sea Island Parkway, according to the report. They were taken between about noon Sunday and 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday. The victim believed the trailer and the goats were stolen together.

The 6-by-5-foot trailer was borrowed from a friend, but the 7-month-old female pet goats were his, according to the report. One goat is brown and black. The other is white, gray and black. They both had neon orange collars and were last seen inside their outdoor pen.

They occasionally found a way to escape, the owner told deputies, but this time the gate was still closed when he found the goats gone, according to the report.
