A Shell Point man realized Friday afternoon that hundreds of dollars of damage had been done to each of his five vehicles, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report.

The vehicles — a Ford, a Jeep, a Lexus, a Toyota and a Honda — parked at a Baynard Road home had cracked windshields from what was believed to be a BB gun, according to the report. The damages were approximately $2,000 in total, an estimated $400 for each one.

At first, the victim thought a rock had hit the windshield while he was driving, according to the report. Then he spotted the damages to the rest of his vehicles and realized that wasn’t the case.

The damage occurred some time between 7 a.m. on Thursday and about 3:45 p.m. on Friday, according to the report. The victim told deputies he didn’t know who might have done this and he hadn’t seen anything suspicious.
