Their Beaufort home was robbed while they were in it. Deputies searching for burglars
Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary that happened just after 8 p.m. in Beaufort Friday night.
Deputies arrived on scene at the home, located at 43 Bruce K. Smalls Drive in Beaufort, at around 8:15 p.m., a Sheriff’s Office report states.
According to the report, two African American men came into the home while residents were still there. The homeowner confronted the suspects and they fled on foot.
One of the two suspects was wearing a blue hoodie and black and white checkered pants. There was no description of the second suspect in the release.
The report says there were no weapons observed on either suspect, and that there is no clear threat to the public.
