Christmas tree, kitchen appliances, furniture and more stolen from St. Helena home
A St. Helena Island home was cleared of several appliances, bedding, a Christmas tree and a kitchen drawer after the homeowners left town after Thanksgiving, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report.
A window in the back door of a Lands End Road home was smashed and a thief or thieves came through the home, stealing linens off the beds, kitchen appliances, a remote controlled helicopter, an artificial Christmas tree, a kitchen drawer and even a few pieces of furniture and other miscellaneous items, according to the report. The total estimated value of the stolen and broken property was $2,790.
The residence was the second home of the victims, who were in town for Thanksgiving and just returned on Friday to find their house had been cleared out, according to the report. There were no suspects when the report was filed, but DNA samples were collected from the home.
