A dog found in a St. Helena marsh can’t use his back legs, was possibly shot in spine
Beaufort County Animal Services rescued a dog from the marsh on St. Helena Island Thursday afternoon and believe it might have been shot, according to an Animal Services Facebook post.
The male dog was not able to use his back legs and had a possible gunshot wound to his spine, according to Animal Services. He could not get himself out of the marsh near Surf Road so an Animal Services officer carried him out.
Anyone with information should call Animal Services at 843-255-5010.
