Funeral arrangements set for Beaufort’s Nathaniel Bennett

A well-known Beaufort figure will be laid to rest next week.

Nathaniel Bennett, who died Monday of natural causes at age 64, will be buried in Beaufort National Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Allen Funeral Home at 1508 Duke St. on Monday. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at noon at Bethesda Christian Fellowship Church, 36 Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard on St. Helena.

Following the service, Bennett will be buried at the National Cemetery on Boundary Street.

All are welcome to the visitation, funeral service and burial.
