This wreck left a car — and its driver — stuck 100 feet into marsh off Trask Parkway
A driver was rescued after her car left the road and ended up stuck about 100 feet into the marsh off Trask Parkway late Wednesday afternoon, according to Burton Fire District spokesman Lt. Dan Byrne.
The single-vehicle wreck, shortly after 5 p.m., sent the vehicle off the roadway near Garrett Smalls Road in the Seabrook area, according to Byrne and traffic information from the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The adult female driver was helped back to the roadway by Burton firefighters and then transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Byrne said.
