1 cleared, 2 others cooperating in Beaufort credit card fraud investigation
The Beaufort Police Department cleared one man and interviewed two others Tuesday in connection with a credit card fraud case, according to a police department Facebook post.
The three were identified and interviewed by police and the man in the red hat was cleared, according to police. The two remaining suspects are cooperating with investigators.
A credit card stolen from Irmo was used Dec. 1 and Dec. 2 at Walmart, Circle K, Tiger Express, Brody’s Bar & Grill, Chick-fil-a and Hibbett Sports, all in Beaufort, police spokeswoman Sgt. Hope Able said on Tuesday.
