Hardeeville man saw blue lights in his rear view, tossed drugs out window, police say

A 36-year-old Hardeeville man led police on a car chase early Tuesday morning and allegedly threw several packets of drugs out the car window, according to a Ridgeland Police Department report.

Jami Chadren Mack faces charges of trafficking cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, simple possession of marijuana, failure to stop for blue lights and speeding and is being held in Jasper County Detention Center, according to the report available online.

Ridgeland officers helped Jasper County Sheriff’s Office deputies chase down Mack, who was in a black Chevrolet Camaro around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to the report.

Deputies attempted to pull Mack over for speeding at Bees Creek Road and Fordville Road, but he allegedly sped onr until he turning onto Family Circle. It was then that he started throwing multiple packages of crack and cocaine out of the car window, the report said.

He was eventually stopped at Chinaberry Drive where he was arrested, according to the report.
