Here’s why Hilton Head Elementary students evacuated for 35 minutes Thursday morning
Hilton Head Elementary School evacuated for 35 minutes Thursday morning because of a false alarm from the school’s water pressure system, district spokesman Jim Foster said.
Students and staff evacuated at 10:45 a.m. and returned inside at 11:20 a.m.
No smoke was involved, but Hilton Head Fire Department was notified, Foster said.
