A St. Helena Island golf cart disappeared — and, after a bit, so did the tire tracks
A $4,000 golf cart was reported stolen from a St. Helena Island garage on Wednesday morning.
The golf cart was last seen in the open garage on Sea Island Parkway around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and discovered missing around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report.
Tire tracks were still visible Wednesday morning where the golf cart had been backed out of the garage and into the lawn, according to the report. The tracks led out to Sea Island Parkway and then disappeared.
The cart was described by the owner as white with a brown top and a rear passenger seat, according to the report. It has a “668” sticker on the side and a “Vermont” sticker on the front.
