In Beaufort, $18K worth of belongings missing following a visit by five ‘friends’

Approximately $18,000 worth of belongings were reported stolen from a Beaufort home Monday.

A gun and miscellaneous pieces of jewelry were stolen from a North Street home between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. while a juvenile resident had five acquaintances over, according to Beaufort Police Department spokeswoman Sgt. Hope Able. The homeowners were not there at the time.

No arrests have been made in connection with the stolen items and the investigation is continuing, according to a police report taken Tuesday evening.
