Over $6K in technology stolen from Dataw Island sail boats
Over $6,000 worth of boating technology was stolen from a pair of sail boats docked at the Dataw Marina overnight on Monday.
A Raymarine Chartplotter, a speaker, a wind indicator and an autopilot tack were stolen from the boats between about 5 p.m. Monday and shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report. An employee said she found the boats had been broken into on her morning rounds. The items were worth an estimated $6,050.
