An estimated $8,500 in designer jewelry was reported stolen from a Habersham house on Wednesday.

A pair of silver and gold earrings, a silver necklace and a silver locket were missing from their respective jewelry boxes when the resident couple returned to the Cherokee Farms Road address on Monday afternoon, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report. The couple had returned to the home that day — the final day of their lease — to collect the last of their belongings.

The couple reported being gone from the home between July 26 and Monday while they started their move to a new home, according to the report.
