$8K trailer reported stolen from Lady’s Island home work site

An $8,000 trailer was reported stolen Thursday from the front yard of a Lady’s Island home that was undergoing renovation.

The black, Big Tex 14LX trailer was last seen on July 24 at a Magnolia Court home on Southern Magnolia Drive, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report. The trailer had been purchased only about a month before and was last seen full of “wet sheet rock from the construction site.”

The owner of the trailer waited to report the theft to make sure none of his employees had the trailer, according to the report.
