A 22-year-old man and a 47-year old woman were arrested in Ridgeland Thursday morning on drug and gun charges after an incident at the East Main Street Travelodge, according to the Ridgeland Police Department.

Jeremiah Shaw, of Ridgeland, was charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and possession with intent to distribute cocaine, according to police. Michelle Hall, also of Ridgeland, was charged with pointing and presenting a firearm along with various lesser offenses. Bond information was not yet available for either suspect in online Jasper County court records Sunday afternoon.

Hall was allegedly “shouting and waving a loaded Hi Point 9mm handgun” at Shaw as they argued outside of the motel around 10:30 a.m., according to a police report. Police ordered both of them to the ground and allegedly found digital scales, crack and cocaine on Shaw. Hall’s lesser offenses stemmed from a past incident.
