Beaufort woman sentenced in 2015 Port Royal stabbing over parking

A 30-year-old Beaufort woman pleaded guilty on Thursday in connection with a 2015 Port Royal stabbing.

Brandi Jordan-Womack was sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to first-degree assault and battery, according to the 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

Jordan-Womack initially was charged with attempted murder on Sept. 15, 2015, and was accused with stabbing another person in Port Royal Center, according to a Port Royal Police Department news release at the time. The dispute arose over parking in the center’s parking lot.

The victim was taken to Beaufort Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries at the time, according to the news release.
