St. Helena man wakes up missing pants and gun, doesn’t know what hit him
A St. Helena Island man woke up missing his pants, cash and gun after being hit in the head at a party, he told Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office deputies.
The man said he was at a party at about midnight Saturday when someone hit him in the back of the head, according to the report. He woke up at his house without his pants, shoes and wallet, which he said had about $500 in cash and his debit card.
A pistol was also missing from his pants, he told deputies. Investigators noted in the report their observation that the man’s injuries didn’t match his account of the story and that he did not cooperate when asked who might have robbed him.
