A toddler’s life was saved by his parents in the Sheldon area Saturday afternoon after the child fell into a swimming pool.

The 3-year-old boy and his parents were enjoying the day at a Bull Point pool when the child fell into the pool, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report. His parents pulled him out right away and began CPR until “signs of life were observed,” which only took about a minute, according to the report.

Sheldon Fire District and Beaufort County EMS arrived and gave the conscious and breathing child first aid, according to the report. The boy was eventually taken to an area hospital’s emergency room, though the hospital was not specified in the report.
