Park groundskeeper finds Burton basketball court isn’t how he left it
A Burton Wells Park groundskeeper reported damage to the park’s basketball court earlier this week.
The court had six burn marks and scrapes that appeared to be from a vehicle, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report on Thursday. The park is on Burton Wells Road.
The damage had been done between 3 p.m. on Tuesday and 7 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the report. Its cost of the damage was estimated at $1,500.
