League of Women Voters group returns to Beaufort, meets this month

A League of Women Voters group has restarted in Beaufort and meets this month.

The group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Celadon Community Clubhouse on Lady’s Island. The chapter bills itself as a nonpartisan organization looking to become an active voice in the community on issues like voting rights, money in politics, environmental protection and improving government.
